This year, we were grateful and excited to celebrate a significant milestone: 25 incredible years in business. Our journey has been shaped by the trust of our clients, the dedication of our team, and the desire to make a meaningful impact on patients.
A Journey to Remember
What started in 1999 as a team of 2 sisters with a desire to help clients educate healthcare providers (HCPs) grew into a trusted partner recognized for delivering excellent content, programming, and service. Along the way, we’ve overcome challenges, celebrated victories, and fostered relationships that go far beyond business. We’ve also learned a lot about what it means to hire the right people with a shared vision to provide the best service possible.
In these 25 years, our commitment to our core values—excellence, humility, proactivity, dedication, respect, thoughtfulness, and fun—has remained top of mind. Whether launching groundbreaking initiatives, adapting to new trends, or addressing patient challenges, our focus is on supporting our clients and creating solutions that educate HCPs, patients, and their families.
Highlights From the Last 25 Years
Innovating Together: From innovative tactics to creative problem solving, we’ve had the privilege to partner with our clients on many impactful projects. There are too many to detail here, but a couple that stand out include:
- Pulling together a meeting (content and logistics) with national experts within weeks to address how to respond to Health Canada when it removed our client’s product from their formulary. The result? A solid strategy that prompted Health Canada to add the product back to its formulary
- Creating a virtual reality initiative that helped psychiatrists “feel” what it was like to be an adult with untreated ADHD. This solution helped adult psychiatrists realize that people with ADHD do not grow out of the disorder and need continued treatment
- Scripting and producing a video of family-supplied content (videos of the patient before, on, and after an investigational treatment) to share with the FDA in support of a new medication for a rare disease This video enhanced our client’s discussion with the FDA and continues to impact the growing client team and all those who view it, supporting the purpose behind their work
Building Partnerships: We have had the great pleasure of working with some of our clients (and opinion leaders) for more than 20 years! The biggest compliments we receive are when a client brings us to their new organization and when a client reconnects with us after several years because they remember the great work we did together.
Along with excellent client partnerships, we cannot fail to mention the collaboration within our team. JB Ashtin employees collaborate daily to deliver their best to our clients. Our collective focus is on being easy to work with, providing the highest quality work, and ensuring the best possible experience for our clients. We wouldn’t be who we are without each member of our team.
Evolving and Growing: As our industry and technologies have changed, we’ve embraced this evolution with open arms, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve while staying true to our mission. We never use trendy tech unless it serves a purpose. However, the most significant evolutions occur when we adapt to address guideline updates or new regulations. How many of you remember when the updated PhRMA Code or the new GPP guidelines were major topics? Sometimes, the biggest innovations are process adjustments that improve efficiency
Looking to the Future With Excitement
While we’re proud of how far we’ve come, we know the best is ahead. Our next chapter is filled with opportunities to grow, innovate, and elevate. We’re exploring new technologies (ahem, AI, anyone?), expanding our expertise with new software and other tools, and focusing on finding the right solutions that address ever-changing client needs and those of the HCPs and patients they serve.
The future is bright, and we’re excited to continue this journey with our clients, partners, and friends.
